OLDHAM are barking up the wrong tree in chasing the likes of Clarence Seedorf and Paul Scholes.
Yes, the pair would garner international attention and boast more contacts than a branch of Specsavers. Respect in the dressing room is guaranteed.
But, when the dust has settled and the media maelstrom has died, Oldham will still be a skint club in League One. All the Champions League medals in the world won’t change that.
Scholes or Seedorf would certainly attract big names to Boundary Park, but if you can’t pay them what’s the point?
