PETER Taylor revealed he was keen to carry on as director of football at Gillingham after being let go this week, but chairman Paul Scally had other ideas. Taylor was appointed by the Gills over the summer to assist manager Ady Pennock.
But, with Pennock leaving the club by mutual consent three weeks ago, Scally decided the 64-yearold no longer had a role to play at the club.
