DRINAN’S EYES ARE SMILING

IPSWICH look set to snap up teenage striker Aaron Drinan from Waterford.
The 19-year-old, who will reportedly cost the Tractor Boys £90,000, has impressed on loan after helping Waterford win the League of Ireland First Division.
Manager Mick McCarthy says he likes ‘pretty much everything’ about the young hitman. Ipswich recruited Eire international Daryl Murphy, 34, from Waterford back in 2005.
Blues midfielder John Martin, 18, has also trialled with the Tractor Boys, but McCarthy said: “At this time, there’s nothing happening on that one.”
