Their front line consisted of a half-fit Ched Evans and a 20-year-old rookie, David Brooks, playing out of position on his first professional start. Unsurprisingly, the Canaries won 1-0.
Were Norwich lucky? Absolutely. No other side in the Championship is likely to face the Blades in such a weakened state.
And, if Daniel Farke’s side eventually sneak into the play-offs by a single point, that stroke of fortune could be hugely significant.
