SOUTHEND have been boosted by the news that Michael Kightly should return sooner than anticipated from a hamstring injury.
The 31-year-old winger was initially expected to be out for three months after suffering the issue against Charlton in early September, but boss Phil Brown has allayed those fears, revealing he could return in mid-October.
“He’s feeling very positive about himself so that’s obviously good news because we feared we were going to be without him for much longer,” Brown said.
