TRIALLIST NIELSEN AN OWL

CHAMPIONSHIP
SHEFFIELD Wednesday have snapped up former Forest defender Frederik Nielsen.
The 19-year-old central defender has signed after a successful trial, with the Denmark youth international having featured for Wednesday’s Under-23s.
Nielsen joined Forest from Danish side Viborg in 2014 and spent three years at the City Ground, playing regularly for the Under-18s and Under-23s.
He left Forest due to a lack of first-team opportunities and spent time with both Barnsley and Leicester this summer but did not earn a deal.
Nielsen has represented his country’s Under-19s.
