NEW Notts County owner Alan Hardy has made a laudable stand in sacking John Sheridan for abusing officials. He has also made a rod for his own back.
Sheridan, who is appealing his dismissal, was jettisoned shortly after Hardy’s takeover in January, following a verbal outburst during a 2-0 defeat by Wycombe the previous month.
“I am not prepared to tolerate any member of my staff abusing referees and officials in this manner,” said Hardy.
