Jody Morris couldn’t hide his delight at being appointed Swindon Town manager – and immediately set his sights on promotion.
The 44-year-old was assistant to Frank Lampard at both Derby and Chelsea, but is now taking his first top job with the League Two promotion-chasers.
Morris has penned a two-and-a-half year contract at the County Ground and takes over from Scott Lindsey, who surprisingly left to take charge at fourth tier strugglers Crawley last month.
