Oldham Athletic manager Micky Mellon is still hoping for a late play-off push – but accepts “we’ve still got work to do” – after his side defeated Grimsby Town.
Having seen his Oldham team extend their unbeaten run to seven games with a scrappy win over Grimsby, he knows anything is possible if they can keep on picking up points.
Oldham are in 13th, but only seven points behind Chesterfield who currently occupy the final play-off spot – and crucially, the Latics have two games in hand.
