Exeter City’s fast food dinner before late Carlisle United win

Exeter City's 350-mile-one-way trip to Carlisle United is the longest in League Two, but it was made worse by bad traffic on the M6 on Friday afternoon.

Long delays forced the Exeter side to have the unusual pre-match dinner of KFC and Subway at Charnock Richard services on the M6.

Despite the less-than-ideal preparation, City produced one of their best away displays of the season, capped off with Padraig Amond's 89th-minute winner which saw Exeter stay second in League Two, with a five-point buffer to the sides in the play-off places.
