New Bristol Rovers manager Steve Evans steered his new charges to a first point in 11 games against Crewe Alexandra and then called for immediate January reinforcements to help resurrect their dismal season.
Callum Morton’s first goal for Rovers cancelled out Emre Tezgel’s opener for Crewe, and after Adrien Thibaut was sent off for Alex, the visitors went closest to winning the game when Kamil Conteh hit the post late on.
Evans insisted: “I am looking forward to January to make this club more like what I want it to be.
