LEGEND JOSH IN SURPRISE RETURN

LEAGUE TWO

By Tom Blackett

STRUGGLING Harrogate Town have been boosted by the return of legendary former skipper Josh Falkingham.

The 35-year-old midfielder made 304 appearances for the Sulphurites before retiring at the end of last season and taking on a new position as director of youth football. However, he has now answered Town’s call by registering on a non-contract basis.

“Everybody knows how much the club means to me, so when asked it was always going to be a yes,” said Falkingham.

“I’m feeling fit and mentally ready for the challenge. I wouldn’t have agreed to it if I didn’t feel I could add value.

“My mindset is always to do anything I possibly can to help the club so I’m going to give absolutely everything I can to help.”

Harrogate have also signed centre-back Kyle Jameson on a short-term deal. The 27-year-old spent the past two seasons at Newport, notching up 42 league appearances.

He said: “I like to get on the ball and play, take pride in my defending and give everything I can for the club.
