Match Preview: Milton Keynes Dons v Mansfield Town (Saturday, 3pm)

In their last league match, on April 6, Milton Keynes beat 2-0 away, with goals from Alex Gilbey and Max Dean.

Mansfield also won, 1-0 at home against on Tuesday, with Tom Nichols scoring their goals.

With 81 goals in 42 games so far this season, Mansfield are the league’s third-highest scorers with 1.9 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 43 goals at a rate of 1.0 per game.

Town are third in the table after 42 games, of which they have won 21 and drawn 13, earning 76 points.

Dons are one place behind the in fourth, with 22 wins and eight draws putting them on 74 points.

In Christy Pym, the visitors can rely on one of the league’s safest pair of hands. With two wins and a draw over that period, Mansfield’s form is worse – they have taken seven points from 18, compared to Milton Keynes’s 10.
