ROYALS SWOOP TO SIGN KEEPER PEREIRA

READING have signed former Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira on a one-year deal with an option of a further year.
The 27-year-old came up through the United academy and played once in the Premier League for the Red Devils.
After leaving in 2021, he has spent the past two years with Dutch side RKC Waalwijk.
In his United days, he had a number of loan spells, including stints at Rochdale, Huddersfield and Hearts.
Born in Switzerland to Portuguese parents, he previously played for Portugal U21s.
