BROWN’S GLEE AT SURVIVAL

PHIL Brown says he always believed Barrow had the spirit in the squad to secure their Football League status.
The former Hull boss took charge on a temporary deal on March 21, with the club 21st and six points clear of danger.
“The lads showed they are wearing the shirts with pride and have got Barrow at heart,” Brown, 62, said after survival was confirmed.
“You hear talk of the new manager bounce but I didn’t envisage losing my first three games.
“But I could see they were still breathing in the group. So, I am delighted.”
