MAYOR LEADS WAY WITH ‘SHOCK’ GOAL

MODEST Danny Mayor insists he was ‘shocked’ to score with a sweet volley for Plymouth against Cheltenham – and now it’s won him the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for March!
The 31-year-old winger picked up 49 per cent of the public vote for his stunning goal in a 2-0 win against the Robins.
“It was alright, wasn’t it?” said Mayor. “I had no idea it was going in, to be honest. I was as shocked as everyone Mayor’s magnificently controlled, volleyed lob finish which made it six wins from six in the league.”
