STRUGGLING IRON TURN TO TURNBULL

LEE Turnbull is relishing his opportunity as Scunthorpe’s new chief operating officer.
The Iron, who look destined to drop out of the EFL, issued a statement on Thursday saying Peter Swann had stepped down as chairman.
Turnbull will also take on the chairman’s roles.
He said: “My affinity with the club goes back almost 30 years to the mid-1990s when I joined as a player.
“I’ve done many different roles at the football club but this one is a new challenge and an opportunity to hopefully drive the Iron forward once again.”
