BARTON’S WISH FOR 30,000!

JOEY Barton hopes Bristol Rovers will one day be able to more than triple the near-10,000 crowd that packed the Memorial Stadium for their 1-1 draw against Exeter.
It was the first sold-out Rovers home league game for several years, but boss Barton believes the improving Pirates have the capability to attract many more fans.
He said: “It would be great to think that one day in the future, we could be talking about 30,000 watching us play. “I think with our fanbase and the ambition that everyone has got here, I think that’s attainable before I leave.”
