HILL HAILS THE IRON FAITHFUL

SCUNTHORPE manager Keith Hill has paid tribute to the club’s fans as the Iron bid for survival.
United picked up five points from away fixtures against Stevenage, Hartlepool and Oldham, securing draws in the first two and winning 3-1 at Boundary Park.
The victory saw them move off the bottom and leapfrog their hosts and Hill is convinced the club’s fans have played a vital role as they bid to beat the drop.
Hill, 52, said: “The supporters have got their rewards. To get five points from three away games is testament to the players’ character.”
