JONES MAKES HIS CASE FOR THE DEFENCE

PORT Vale’s Dan Jones has revealed he asked manager Darrell Clarke to move him across to central defence.
Jones has been an essential part of a Valiants backline, playing in all but one of his team’s league games.
The 26-year-old signed for Vale in the summer from Salford and has since become a key cog in Clarke’s side.
