EAGER RORY IS ON THE ROAD TO FITNESS

VETERAN defender Rory McArdle is still hopeful he may be fit before Christmas after his Harrogate campaign was interrupted by a groin injury.
McArdle was taken off during his team’s goalless draw with Stevenage in late September.
Originally thought to be a minor groin issue, a scan showed the 34-yearold suffered serious tendon damage but he is determined to bounce back from the operation and is ready to do a ‘second pre-season’ to get up to speed.
