SKELTON’S GRATEFUL TO BEECH

CARLISLE United caretaker manager Gavin Skelton has said he will always owe a debt of gratitude to former boss Chris Beech.
Beech, 47, departed last Sunday after a poor run of form left the Cumbrians third from bottom of League Two.
His former assistant Skelton took temporary charge, alongside academy coach Erik Kinder, after his exit.
Skelton, 40, said: “He’ll be better for what he’s done here and I really enjoyed working with him.
“He showed a lot of respect to me and I’ll always appreciate that.”
