BEECH’S OLD PALS’ ACT HELPS

CHRIS Beech was delighted to be able to call on his “good relationship” with Dean Smith to bring highly-rated striker Brad Young to Carlisle from Premier League Aston Villa.
The 18-year-old impressed the Cumbrians boss in a Papa John’s Trophy clash between the two teams last November.
Beech said: “There were a number of teams who had Brad on their radar.
“I’m fortunate to have a good relationship with Dean Smith and was therefore able to make the move happen.”
