MELLISH LAUDED BY BEECH

CARLISLE’S Jon Mellish could have “a big future as an attacking midfield player”, according to his manager Chris Beech.
The one-time defender has flourished since being moved into midfield just over a year ago.
“He wears his badge on his heart, he gives 100 per cent and that’s Jon Mellish,” said Beech, who said the 23-year-old needed to improve “his first touch, decision making and staying emotionally in control”.
