I think I’d been to matches before this but the first one that sticks with me is Everton, my team, being beaten 6-1 by Arsenal on the opening day of the 2009-10 season.I remember my dad saying to me ‘you’re never coming again’ – and I don’t think I went for a while after that!I felt like I’d given us bad luck in that game but I was allowed back when we started winning again...I had a season ticket at Goodison so I’d always go with my dad or, when I was a bit older, mates from school.
