SOUTHEND were fully deserving of the point that lifted them out of the relegation zone.
Goalkeeper Mark Oxley was only seriously tested once, saving well from Adam May, but the Shrimpers defence - led by the impressive John White - kept the 33-goal strike pairing of Paul Mullin and Joe Ironside quiet and didn’t look in too much danger.
