Former West Ham and Everton striker Tony Cottee talks us through his football memories

First game you watched live?
My family were all West Ham fans and my fi rst game was a 4-2 win against Nottingham Forest in the 1971/72 season when I was about six years old. Those were the days when kids went down the front and you were allowed to take a crate in to stand on! Bobby Moore was playing and I think Geoff Hurst would have been too. From that moment, it felt a part of my DNA and I was going home and away by the time I was 13 – I’ve still got my Irons Travel Club ...
