IF THE 2019-20 season ultimately ended in heartbreak for Brentford, it seems this current campaign may finally give them a happy ending.
It would have been easy for the Bees to wallow in the disappointment of last term.
They could so easily have won automatic promotion to the Premier League, but defeats in their last two games against Stoke and Barnsley allowed West Brom to pip them at the post.
