JAMES Wilson struck for the fifth home game in a row to give Salford interim head coach Paul Scholes a Halloween treat.
Scholes was in charge of the Ammies for a fourth time against boyhood club Oldham, with whom he spent an ill-fated 31 days in charge last year.
Ashley Hunter sealed the win in the second half, with Roy Keane, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and the Neville brothers watching on.
