SILKMEN MUST GO BY SAME RULES AS THE REST

WHEN a person has a vested interest in a situation, it is difficult to write without taking that vested interest into account.
I accept that.
However, I wrote about Macclesfield’s situation before I became manager of Stevenage and my strong view has not mellowed; it remains as it was.
It is in no way right that a club should fail to fulfil fixtures and should then be allowed to continue in a competition.
Without a doubt, the integrity of that competition is breached when such a circumstance occurs.
