Extra work pays off for Curle’s Cobblers

KEITH Curle was delighted the extra work on the training ground paid off for his Northampton team after securing a win at Macclesfield.
A dire game for the spectators was settled by Callum Morton’s goal just before the hour, and the Cobblers boss paid tribute to his players’ dedication to set-piece training.
“Set pieces are something that as a player you don’t like doing because it’s the extra 45 minutes or the extra hour after training on a Thursday or a Friday when you’ve done the shape,” he said.
