TOM Hopper is determined to get back to his best for Southend United after overcoming a longterm injury.
A cruciate ligament injury sustained against Walsall last season had him resting and recuperating for the best part of 12 months, before making his return against Wimbledon last month.
Since then, the 25-yearold striker had managed two goals prior to the weekend’s visit of Oxford and is eyeing more as he looks to fire the Shrimpers – who are second-bottom ahead of only Bolton in the League One table – to safety.
