CREWE IN HUNT FOR PROMOTION

THERE may have only been seven games so far, but Crewe are showing all the signs of being in the hunt for promotion.
Their victory at Grimsby might not go down as their most attractive display, but it was certainly one of their most professional – as summed up by manager David Artell.
And it’s that sort of performance that sees teams make the difference in the big games. It’s well worth remembering that Crewe managed to keep the league’s top scorers quiet throughout, barring James Hanson’s first-half penalty.
