EXETER needed this victory to re-ignite their play-off charge after just one win in their last six games.
It has not been the season they had hoped down in Devon and although plagued by inconsistency they are still hanging in there somehow. Their cause hasn’t been helped by losing to teams also battling for a top-six spot, but this victory could be the catalyst for a sustained run now.
