Guthrie in late strike to thwart Scholes

PAUL SCHOLES admitted his team’s late lapses were costing them too many points after his Latics drew at home to Stevenage.
The visitors grabbed an equaliser at the death, making it the fourth consecutive game that Oldham had conceded in the 90th minute or beyond.
Scholes began his managerial career with a victory last month, but the Latics have since taken two points from a possible 12. They were denied victory when Stevenage’s Kurtis Guthrie headed in an Ilias Chair corner.
And Boro almost won in injury time when Chair free-kick hit the woodwork.
