LINCOLN’S victory at Cambridge felt like a giant hurdle cleared in their quest for promotion.
They were outplayed in the first half by a vibrant U’s, but seized the initiative after Neil Eardley’s superb equaliser 20 minutes from the end. A sign of a good side is their ability to see games out, and Grant Smith’s brilliant save from Reggie Lambe five minutes from the end was every bit as important as John Akinde’s winner ten minutes earlier.
