YATES’ LATE WINNER GIVES SOL THE BLUES AT BRUNTON PARK

MACCLESFIELD boss Sol Campbell saw a hardearned point snatched from his side’s grasp as Carlisle found a late winner to extend their winning run to four.
Campbell was left to rue missed chances and admitted: “We have got to be more clinical. It’s something we need to work on.”
The Silkmen had got off to a perfect start when Scott Wilson, with a brilliant turn and curling shot, put them ahead inside two minutes. But Hallam Hope equalised on the stroke of half-time, before Jerry Yates popped up with the winner.
