RIVALS ARE STILL BEST OF PALS

SAM Slocombe and Adam Smith are best of buddies, despite battling it out for the No.1 jersey at Bristol Rovers.
Boss Darrell Clarke seemed unable to choose between the pair at the start of the season but preferred Smith, 25, in every game since mid-October, prior to last weekend. While warming the bench isn’t easy, Slocombe remains positive.
“It’s quite difficult when you’re not in the team, but I’ve been in the game long enough to know that’s how it is,” said the 29-year-old.
