GARRY Monk has urged Middlesbrough fans to be patient with striker Patrick Bamford as he tries to play his way back into form. The 24-year-old scored 19 times as Boro went close to promotion three years ago but has not recaptured that form since, with several failed loan spells hindering his progress.
A goal against Ipswich last week showed a glimmer of what he can offer, but Monk insists it will take time for the former Chelsea player to get back to his best.
