SAM Hoskins’ late strike handed new Northampton Town boss Kevin Nolan his first victory in charge as they edged a tight encounter to win 1-0 against Burton Albion.
And Nolan was overjoyed with his players after finally overcoming a stubborn Brewers side.
“You can see the improvement in the lads over the short period of time I have been here, 13 days or so now,” he said.
“We were much the better side in the first half, and we should have been at least 1-0 up going into the break, but it wasn’t to be.
