American rapper A$AP Rocky is edging closer to completing a takeover of Tranmere Rovers after he was cleared of a felony shooting trial.
The artist – boyfriend of global pop star Rihanna – is part of a US investment group looking to buy the League Two club.
Their bid, however, looked destined to fail with the 36-year-old rap megastar facing two felony counts of assault following a confrontation involving a semi-automatic weapon with another hip-hop artist, A$AP Relli, in Hollywood back in 2021.
