Matty Godden took the plaudits from Charlton Athletic boss Nathan Jones after he played a leading role in their win over Stevenage.
Godden, 33, has scored in his last three appearances and his close-range finish from Conor Coventry’s pass broke the deadlock in the 44th minute, before Luke Berry added a second after the break.
Godden has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Charlton since signing from Coventry City in the summer.
“His all-round performance was outstanding today,” said Jones, when asked about Godden.
