Match Preview: Bristol Rovers v Carlisle United (Saturday, 3pm)

United make the journey to the Memorial Stadium to play Bristol on Saturday looking to pick up points to end their seven-game losing streak.

Carlisle’s struggles have left them with no points from their last six matches, while their opponents have earned nine from a possible 18.

Carlisle are bottom of the table after 32 games, of which they have won four and drawn eight, earning 20 points.

Rovers are 11 places ahead of United in 13th, with 12 wins and seven draws putting them on 43 points.

With 26 goals in 32 games so far this season, the away team are the league’s third-lowest scorers with 0.8 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 55 goals at a rate of 1.7 per game.
