Derby County CEO Stephen Pearce believes the club have learned the lessons of the past and has insisted they will continue to be run in a ‘sustainable manner’.
It is just 18 months ago that the Rams came out of administration and they have turned over a new leaf since property developer David Clowes bought the club in 2022.
“(The club has) No debt, in terms of the finances, and is absolutely run sustainably,” long-serving Pearce told BBC Radio Derby.
