SHEFFIELD Wednesday have received a boost ahead of today’s lunchtime kick-off with the news that captain Barry Bannan will be staying put for another year. The midfield general’s contract was due to expire at the end of this season, but he has recently triggered an extension due to the number of appearances made in this campaign.
