Argyle show faith in keeper Cooper

Plymouth boss Steven Schumacher says handing injured goalkeeper Mike Cooper a new contract was a “no-brainer” for the club.
Cooper, 23, had made 121 successive league starts for the Pilgrims before being sidelined by a serious knee injury last month.
Scouted by several Championship and Premier League sides, he is Plymouth’s reigning player of the year and has previously been described by Schumacher as the best goalkeeper in the entire EFL.
Cooper’s contract had been due to expire in 18 months, but he has now signed an extension until the summer of 2025.
