THERE were times earlier this year when Alex MacDonald feared he might have to hang up his boots, but now he’s eager to help Gillingham start climbing back up the football ladder.
The 32-year-old winger suffered a lateral meniscus tear a year ago, which effectively ended his season before it had really got going.
