Barnsley's third-choice keeper Jamie Searle had never even managed to make a first-team bench during four seasons in the pro game prior to last weekend.
Going into yesterday’s programme of fixtures, however, the 21-year-old Kiwi had navigated his first two hours of competitive senior football without conceding a goal.
