Taking 9 shirt is ‘right thing’ for Jay

Jay Stansfield says he will be ‘proud’ to wear the number nine shirt that his dad Adam used to wear for Exeter City.
St James Park favourite Adam Stansfield passed away in 2010 at the age of just 31 after a battle with bowel cancer. He played more than 140 games for the Devon club across four seasons, scoring 37 goals.
Forward Jay came through the Grecians academy before moving to Fulham in 2019. He has made excellent progress with the Whites, including featuring in the Premier League this term.
He is now set to get some precious EFL experience on loan at Exeter.
