PATIENCE PAYS OFF FOR WIGAN’S WILL KEANE

As a youngster at Manchester United, Will Keane was often compared to treble-winning legend Teddy Sheringham.
“I’ve heard that a couple of times,and I’m definitely happy to take the compliment,” laughs the Wigan Athletic striker.
“And wasn’t he about 30 or 31 when he joined United? I’m only 29 so I’ve still got a couple of months to make my return!”
Keane is joking, of course, but there’s an alternate universe where the born-and-bred red never left his home town club.
